Hydration and Workout Performance: What Actually Matters
A member who feels unexpectedly sluggish mid-workout is often dehydrated well before they'd describe themselves as thirsty — thirst is a lagging signal, not an early one.
Hydrate before, not just during
Starting a session already behind on fluids is hard to fully correct mid-workout. Steady hydration through the day matters more than a large drink right before training.
Intensity and climate change the requirement
A long, sweaty session in a hot studio needs more replacement than a short, moderate one — there's no single fixed number that fits every member and every workout.
It's a simple habit, but one of the easiest to overlook when building out a member's training plan — worth a mention during onboarding, not just left to assumption.
